This past Sunday we held Madelyn's baptism on her 1 month birthday. During the baptism Pastor Curt told the congregation that this was a special baptism for him. Kent was the first child he had baptized, confirmed and married and now continues the tradition with the second generation of the Walser Family. The comedian that Pastor Curt is made the comment that as old as he is he doesn't know how many more Walser kids he will be around to baptize since they just keep coming.
My brother-in-law Kevin (aka the bible basher) and my aunt Marilyn were Madelyn's sponsors.
Madelyn did great during the christening.
This is a fuzzy picture but as we walked around the pews Maddy was wide-eyed holding up her head looking at everyone. As we walked past people in the pews they would chuckle and say she was cute. I didn't quite understand why people were looking at us and laughing but after we got back to the pew my sister showed me this picture. I think she digs being the center of attention.
We held a lunch at my dad's house with our families to celebrate. Maddy was asleep as soon as we got there, Dillon was downstairs playing the Wii, and mom and dad were enjoying a much deserved bloody mary!
