Tis the season

Last Saturday we headed down to the Community center in Brooklyn to see Santa. They had tables set up with free stuff on them intended for children to pick things out to be gift wrapped and given as gifts to their families. Dillon found a large little people garage for himself and a toy dump truck for Collin in which he took it over to the table and had it gift wrapped for his brother. After browsing the presents we headed over to Santa's lap for a quick picture which went amazing well. The entire experience was free which was a little strange but I guess that's what you get in a small town.

The tree was decorated with only a few ornament fatalities.
Dillon enjoys checking his stocking on the way down the stairs.

Every year we display our Christmas Village above our cabinets in the kitchen. Well, we try to put it up but this year when I was unwrapping the village the newspaper was dated March 24 of 2007. Kent was a little particular with the placement of the houses and figurines. When the job was done the boys wanted to help sprinkle the snow as the finishing touch. Dillon did a great job but Collin took handfuls of snow and enjoyed watching it fall to the floor.
